Abstract

This presentation talks about Bio-Inspired Futuristic Aircraft Design with an attempt to develop new type of
aircraft using shape, size and topology optimization which uses bionic structural design that mimics
the bone structure of birds. Bone is light and strong; its porous where the interior carries tension only where
necessary, leaving space elsewhere. The new design reduces aircraft’s weight and fuel burned.The objective of this research is a step forward in the direction to design futuristic aircraft structures . The research implement the use of curvilinear/
arbitrary stiffeners for achieving better designs of structures.
