Abstract

An information transmission line implemented according to the 2x2 MIMO scheme using complex carrier modulation with a two-dimensional vector of information symbols and sequential transmission in time of two elements of the combined modulated vector is considered. The complex carrier is a complex number in polar form in a matrix expansion. Phase modulation of the complex carrier is performed by multiplying a 2x2 matrix by a 2D vector of information symbols.

The combined modulated vector is received using two basis matrices of a complex number in matrix expansion. As a result of multiplication by the real basis matrix of the received vector we obtain an estimate of the information vector. The additive noise vector will consist of noise elements in the order of the elements of the combined vector. When multiplying the same vector by the imaginary basis matrix, we obtain an estimate of the information vector with the reverse order of the noise elements.

The diversity of information symbols has increased by 2 times compared to the diversity of opposite BPSK signals. The proposed scheme can be implemented in a wireless transmission line with one antenna for transmission and one for reception, as well as in wired communication lines.
