Blockchain Technology for the Security of Internet of Things: Challenges, Solutions, and Future Trends

Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a rapidly growing area of technology that has brought with it a range of security challenges. These challenges include device vulnerabilities, data breaches, and privacy concerns, among others. This report contains an assessment of current literature on how blockchains are used to tackle IoT challenges. It also contains a critical analysis on the challenges faced by IoT security and how blockchain technology can be leveraged to address these challenges. Additionally, it also reviews existing blockchain-based solutions for IoT security and evaluates their effectiveness. Finally, emerging trends in blockchain for IoT security are discussed.
