The performance of angular contact ball bearing is dependent on surface characteristics and the metallurgy of the bearing steel. This research deals with the influence of diamond grinding wheels, known for precise material removal. How variations in diamond grit size and spacing affect the surface finish and microstructure of the bearing balls. By studying these transformations, the paper aims to unlock the relation between selection of proper grinding material and improved efficiency of the bearing.
