The paper deals with the issues of direction finding of reflected signals from terrain elements in a passive single-position system for determining the coordinates of the radio source. The measured parameter of reflections are phase differences on the separated antennas of the phase direction finder.
It is shown that the expansion of the sector of unambiguous direction finding of signals reflected from terrain elements is possible with known information about the location of the reflecting object in the “coarse” sector of unambiguity, determined by the position of the main beam of the radar antenna.
