Abstract

This power point presentation describes the development of a modelling platform for the analyses and optimisation of thermal-fluid systems by using MS Excel. The two main components of the Excel-based platform are Excel and Solver but it incorporates the Thermax add-in for fluid properties and VBA for the development of additional user-defined functions. The presentations show how the platform can be used in fundamental courses, design analyses, and research analyses and provides the relenat references.
