A Literature Review on Stewart–Gough Platform Calibrations
DOI:
https://doi.org/10.31224/5542Abstract
This paper reviews state-of-the-art calibration methods for Stewart-Gough (hexapod) platforms, with a focus on inverse kinematics-based approaches. Various techniques using external instruments, motion constraints, and self-calibration sensors are analyzed, along with error sources such as kinematic, structural, and environmental factors. The survey highlights key methodologies and outcomes, emphasizing strategies to enhance platform accuracy for precision applications.
