In this study, a hybrid renewable energy system capable of operating in stand-alone mode while exporting surplus electricity to the grid is designed and analyzed for a farmhouse located in Ovaköy Village of Balıkesir Province, Türkiye. The system is designed to meet both residential and agricultural electricity demands. The daily electricity consumption is determined as approximately 10 kWh, consisting of 8 kWh for household use and 2 kWh for farm-related activities such as cleaning and irrigation. The proposed hybrid system includes photovoltaic panels, a wind turbine, a biogas generator, battery storage, an inverter/converter, and a grid connection. A daily biomass availability of 1 ton is assumed for the biogas generator. The system design and optimization are carried out using the HOMER software, and various configurations are evaluated in terms of technical and economic performance. Simulation results indicate that the system achieves a high renewable energy fraction, ensures reliable power supply, and provides economic benefits through surplus energy sales to the grid. The findings demonstrate that hybrid renewable energy systems offer a sustainable and feasible solution for rural agricultural regions such as Ovaköy Village.
