A recently derived equivalent plastic strain-based forming limit criterion that includes strain path effects is numerically compared to a path-independent and an older path-dependent one. Cross die forming of DP800 sheet serves as an exemplary application. The more path-dependent a material is, the later and wider a neck would develop in this cross die component.
