A practical, nonproprietary procedure for converting MRP exception signals into executable production decisions. The framework provides signal-validation checks that distinguish potential data artifacts from operational constraints, a five-dimensional material-readiness review, an impact-based triage matrix with suggested response windows, response options with stated preconditions, an action-ownership record, and a time-triggered escalation ladder. It also includes a fully worked synthetic example.
The framework is intended for production schedulers, master schedulers, material planners, and related professionals in discrete and repetitive manufacturing. Published under CC BY 4.0, it may be copied, adapted, and incorporated into organizational procedures with attribution and appropriate alignment with applicable controls. It contains no proprietary, confidential, customer-specific, facility-specific, or employer-specific information.
