Abstract

This study explores how combining mesh and fibre reinforcement can improve the mechanical performance of concrete. Nine reinforcement combinations using steel mesh, AR glass mesh, AR glass fibre, and steel crimped fibre were tested in M30 and M40 concrete. The specimens were evaluated for compressive, flexural, and split tensile strength. The results showed that hybrid reinforcement generally performed better than mesh-only systems, with the four-component combination achieving the highest overall strength, particularly in M40 concrete.
