Effectiveness of Using Lightweight Composite Rollers in Belt Conveyors

The article analyzes the efficiency of implementing lightweight conveyor rollers made from composite materials. A comparison with all-metal counterparts is provided based on technical and operational parameters. Reduced labor intensity, energy savings, and increased reliability are noted. Barriers to implementation, including personnel conservatism and regulatory limitations, are examined. The feasibility of widespread use of composite rollers in industry is substantiated. An overview of international experience is provided, confirming the high efficiency and market potential of these solutions.
