In this theoretical work, a new paradigm of mechanisms that can trace the exact steering condition for a front-two-wheels steered car is analysed and discussed with examples. The central idea is to go beyond the four-bar-linkages to a five-bar-linkage that has a point following a—rather simple to implement—locus. The loci are calculated for small angle and large angle turns. How to choose the loci is also discussed but the practical implementation is outside the scope of this paper. Further, the standard go-to Ackermann mechanism is discussed in detail and it is shown that it fails miserably when the aspect ratio of a car beyond one.
